Mechanical Engineer

I started as an intern at ReconRobotics and was offered a full-time position after graduating from college. At Recon, I worked in the R&D group on a throwable robot targeted for law enforcement and the military. The rugged light-weight RC-controlled device was designed to be thrown into a dangerous environment and driven around to give the operator “eyes on the inside” from a safe distance.
Responsibilities and Accomplishments
Designed, prototyped, and tested concepts in a scrappy start up environment
Machined most prototype components myself on our mill and lathe
First female engineer in company history
Research and Development
Worked on the unreleased next-generation clamshell design version of the popular Recon Scout throwable robot.
